ARCH Community Housing broke ground on The Blaine Manor Community at 706 s. main on Sept 21st, 2020. In spite of COVID and all the restrictions in the world, construction begun with safety measures in place and a serious crew of hard-working individuals.
The county commissioners donated the land and committed $500,000 to the project. Financing for the project came from several agencies including Redstone Equity Partners, Zions Bank, and Idaho Housing and Finance Association.
This amazing project will serve people making 30% to 50% of the area median income (AMI). Rents will range from $450 to $1,000 per month. The other building will serve families at 60% or less of AMI. Rent will range from a little over $900 to about $1,200 per month.
Construction started in the fall of 2020 and never missed a beat through the long winter and spring.
Currently, we have the exterior of phase 1 almost completed with the interior coming along quickly. We have put gypcrete down in the shower floors, roof dry on the roof, and other great additions for comfort and safety.
