President

John graduated from Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont with a major in Political Science and received a JD degree from Syracuse University College of Law. He was admitted to the New York State Bar shortly thereafter. He served in U.S. Army Intelligence as a Captain assigned to the Joint Staff in Washington, D.C. during the Viet Nam War.

In 1987, he became a founding partner in The Worthing Companies, an apartment development, construction and management company located in Atlanta and acted as its Chief Financial and Operating Officer. During his 15 years with Worthing the company developed nearly 20,000 apartments in the southeastern United States.

He has served on the Board of Directors and as President of the Atlanta Apartment Association, as a Board member of the Georgia Apartment Association and as its President for two terms. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Apartment Association.

Since retirement in 2001, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Wood River Land Trust, three years as its President, Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Blaine County Housing Authority from 2006 to 2008 and Chairman and President of Habitat for Humanity of Blaine County from 2010 to 2013 when it was merged into ARCH Community Housing Trust.

John lives full time in the Wood River Valley with his wife, Sandra, and enjoys alpine skiing, hiking, riding Peruvian Paso horses and traveling.
